New Year's Eve 2026 falls on Thursday 31 December, and the night runs straight into the Friday bank holiday on 1 January 2027. This is our guide to NYE 2026 in Mayfair and the West End: the premium clubs we book tables at, what each one is like on a big night, what has and has not been announced yet, and how to plan the evening so you actually get in, get a good table and get home.
A straight answer first. As of October 2026, none of the clubs below has published its NYE 2026 line-up, ticket prices or table prices. Mayfair clubs usually announce New Year's Eve plans in November, and we will add each club's details here as they are confirmed. Until then, everything on this page is either current information about the venue or clearly labelled history from last year.
What we know about NYE 2026 so far
- The date: Thursday 31 December 2026. Most of London is off work on Friday 1 January, so expect a full weekend-style crowd on a Thursday.
- The fireworks: the Mayor of London's New Year's Eve fireworks return this year, listed from 8pm on 31 December to 12.30am on 1 January. As of October 2026, City Hall says a ticket release date will be announced soon. The riverside viewing areas around the London Eye have been ticket-only in recent years, so you cannot simply turn up.
- The clubs: NYE events, prices and ticket links normally appear from November. The best tables at the busiest rooms go in the first days after release.
- The prices: New Year's Eve minimum spends are always higher than a normal Saturday, and NYE tables usually need full prepayment rather than a deposit.

Tape: the most searched NYE table in Mayfair
Tape at 17 Hanover Square is the club people ask us about most for New Year's Eve. The room is built for hip hop, R&B and Afrobeats, with big bottle presentations and a crowd that arrives dressed for the occasion. Tape has not announced its NYE 2026 event yet. Cirque le Soir, Reign and The Box: the show clubs
If the countdown should come with a performance, these three are the rooms to watch. Cirque le Soir on Ganton Street is the theatrical one, with circus-style performers working the room all night: see our Cirque le Soir tables. Reign on Piccadilly is a showclub with aerial acts and big-production bottle shows: book Reign. The Box in Soho is the most adult of the three, with provocative cabaret rather than club acts: The Box tables. None of them has confirmed a 2026 theme yet.
Maddox, Selene and Rumour: Mayfair and Oxford Circus
For a polished night where the crowd matters as much as the music, Maddox on Mill Street is the established choice, with hip hop and house and its smaller Green Room. Selene on Winsley Street, a few minutes from Oxford Circus, has three rooms, which suits a group that wants to move around: we cover it on its own in our Selene NYE 2026 guide. Rumour is the club in the former Tabu space at 1 Dover Street, open Wednesday to Saturday with open format music, so a Thursday New Year's Eve falls on one of its regular nights. Scotch, Dear Darling and Mistress of Mayfair: St James's
St James's gives you three very different rooms within a short walk. Scotch of St James in Masons Yard is the heritage address, two floors with a 1960s rock history. Dear Darling on Jermyn Street splits house upstairs from open format downstairs. Mistress of Mayfair beneath 48 St James's Street is the house and electronic option, normally open Thursday to Sunday from 10pm to 3am as of October 2026.
99 Regent Street, formerly the Cuckoo Club
The room that was the Cuckoo Club now trades as 99 Regent Street, with hip hop and open format upstairs and house downstairs, and tables from £600 on a normal night as of October 2026. How NYE tables work, and what the night costs
- Minimum spend, not a cover charge. You spend the minimum on drinks at the table. On New Year's Eve the minimum is higher than a normal weekend and is usually paid in full before the night.
- Check what the figure includes. Ask whether service charge and VAT sit inside the minimum or on top of it before you pay.
- Do the per-head maths. A £1,000 minimum split between eight people is £125 each before service. NYE minimums are higher, so agree the budget with your group before you ask for a table.
- Arrive at the agreed time. NYE tables come with a fixed arrival window, and a table left empty near midnight can be released.
- Group mix matters. Doors are strict on the busiest night of the year: balanced groups and a confirmed booking name get in fastest.

Getting there and getting home
Plan the journey before you plan the outfit. TfL publishes its New Year's Eve plans in December. For NYE 2025, Time Out reported that the Tube ran all night but stations near the river and the West End closed for crowd control, including Westminster from 9.30pm, Charing Cross from 6pm and Piccadilly Circus from 11.30pm. Expect similar closures around the fireworks this year, and walk to Oxford Circus, Bond Street or Green Park rather than relying on the stations nearest the Thames.
Taxis and ride-hailing apps surge hard just after midnight and again at closing time. Book a car in advance if your group can, or arrange a pick-up a few streets away from the club rather than outside the door.
