Rumour London on New Year's Eve 2026 is a booth night at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair, in the room that used to be Tabu. New Year's Eve 2026 falls on Thursday 31 December; Rumour opens that night and tables should be booked early. Rumour's regular nights are Wednesday to Saturday, so the Thursday is one of its normal club nights, with the Friday bank holiday the next day.
Send us your group size, the number of guys and girls, and your budget, and we send you the NYE booth plan as soon as the club releases it. The quickest way is to message us on WhatsApp, or use our Rumour booth booking page.
As of October 2026, Rumour has not announced a New Year's Eve theme, line-up or NYE booth prices. Everything below is current venue information, and we add the NYE details here as soon as they are confirmed.

If you searched for Tabu NYE
Until 2026 the club at 1 Dover Street traded as Tabu, and Tabu's New Year's Eve nights are what many people still search for. Tabu has closed under that name; Rumour is the club in the same space, under the same ownership, with a new design and concept. If you are planning a Tabu New Year's Eve, this is the page and Rumour is the booking. Our guide to the change from Tabu to Rumour has the background.
How NYE booths work at Rumour
A booth at Rumour is a minimum spend, not a cover charge: your group orders drinks at the booth up to the agreed figure, and the booth covers entry for the whole group. On New Year's Eve the usual rules tighten:
- Minimum spend: set by the club for the night, and higher than a normal weekend.
- Payment: NYE booths are usually prepaid in full when booked, rather than secured with a deposit.
- Arrival time: expect a fixed arrival time, typically by 11pm. A booth left empty close to midnight can be released.
- Group size: the number on the booking is the number the door lets in, so confirm it before you pay and tell us early if it changes.
- Service charge: ask whether it sits inside the minimum or on top of it.
Because the room holds around 200, there are only so many booths, and that is the main reason to register early.
What New Year's Eve at Rumour costs
On a normal night, booths at Rumour start from £1,000 minimum spend as of October 2026, which across eight people is roughly £125 each. NYE minimum spends are set by the club, are higher than a normal Saturday, and are confirmed when you book. We do not quote an NYE figure until the club releases its plan. For how normal-night pricing works, read Rumour table prices.
Guestlist and entry on NYE
On normal nights Rumour runs a ladies' guestlist, free to £20 depending on arrival time, and men come in on a booth booking. On New Year's Eve the guestlist is usually restricted on New Year's Eve, closes early and is often ladies or mixed groups only; ask us for this year's door policy. For men and mixed groups, a booth is the dependable way in on 31 December. The normal-night details are on our Rumour guestlist guide.
The dress code is dressed up: heels for ladies and a considered look for men, no sportswear and no fancy dress, with trainers at the door's discretion. See the Rumour dress code guide.
When to book
Register now. We take NYE requests from today and hold them in order, then come back with real options when Rumour releases its New Year's Eve booths. Groups who send their size, guys and girls split and budget early get first choice of the booths, and the last weeks of December are when most of the room goes.
Getting there and home
Dover Street runs between Piccadilly and Grafton Street. Green Park is the nearest station, with Bond Street and Oxford Circus a walk away, which keeps you clear of the riverside crowds.
TfL had not published its New Year's Eve 2026 travel plans as of October 2026. Last year, for NYE 2025, the Tube and DLR ran all night, and Time Out reported the station closures around the river: Charing Cross closed from 6pm, Westminster from 9.30pm, Embankment and Temple from 11pm, and Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus from 11.30pm, some of them exit only. Expect something similar this year around the Mayor of London's fireworks, whose tickets went on sale on Friday 23 October 2026 through Ticketmaster only.
Black cabs add an extra £4 to metered fares between 8pm on 31 December and 6am on 2 January, and ride-hailing prices climb just after midnight and again at closing time. Book a car in advance if you can, or arrange a pick-up a street or two away from the club.
Other NYE nights we book
Rumour is not the only Thursday club open on New Year's Eve. Selene on New Year's Eve is the multi-room option near Oxford Circus, and our NYE tables in Mayfair guide covers how NYE minimums and packages work across the clubs we book. For a side-by-side on normal nights, read our Rumour review.
