What the Luna Dress Code Was
Luna was a members'-style club reached by a staircase down from the Inca London restaurant at 8-9 Argyll Street, by Oxford Circus. INCA, the South American restaurant above it, has closed as well. Secret London described it as far bigger inside than it looked, with most of the space a cave-style network underground; Luna was the late-night part of that underground. It had exposed brick walls, an international crowd and house music, and it opened on Friday and Saturday nights only.
Its door was dress to impress. For ladies, heels were required, with heeled evening boots also accepted and flats and trainers turned away. For men, smart shirts, smart trousers or clean dark denim, and leather shoes. Sportswear, beachwear, shorts, wedges, torn denim, hats and fancy dress were not allowed, except at themed events such as Halloween.

A smart shirt, smart trousers or clean dark jeans, and leather shoes or very clean minimal shoes where the club allows them. Leave sportswear, shorts, caps and ripped denim at home. A blazer never hurts in Mayfair, and the door has the final say on the night.
