The Best Hip Hop and RnB Club in London
The best and most exclusive hip hop nightclub in London is without a doubt Tape London. After all, you can’t name another club in London that’s frequented by P Diddy, Travis Scott, and ASAP Rocky.
A Mayfair staple located at 17 Hanover Square, W1S 1BN, Tape London is made up of a mainroom with two VIP sections, a 'Little Tape' with a lounge-like vibe famous for its afterparties, and the Tape studio used by world-renowned artists to produce music.
The mainroom is the largest part of Tape club London, with live entertainment throughout the night on a runway. Superstars, including Travis Scott, Offset, Future, Tyga, Pop Smoke, and Drake, have all performed in the mainroom. It all goes to show that there is no nightclub in London that does hip hop and RnB like Tape London. Connected to the mainroom you have Little Tape, which is a smaller room used for afterparties, private events, and as a good breakout area during the night to get to know someone better.
Tape London plays hip hop, RnB, and afro beats, but avoids all overly cliché commercial music. Priding itself on a culture of music and art, you can expect to hear trend-setting US and UK global hits (sometimes before even becoming a global hit). With the Tape Studio right next door to the club, some artists like to take their newest creations for a test drive in the mainroom after wrapping up a recording session.
What a Night at Tape London is Like
Partying at Tape London is like a scene out of a movie. Sparklers, bottle shows, dancers, celebrities, a renowned MC, and the best DJs. True to form, Tape club London really brings out the essence of a hip hop nightclub.
There are 6 dancer podiums with themed professional dancers, a runway stage where dancing acts take place throughout the night, and an MC hyping and performing. Of course, a well known DJ plays all night. On artist nights, you can expect lit performances by some of the world’s most renowned artists.
Beginning of the night starts with the warm-up DJ and is a good time to meet people in the nightclub. One hour into a Tape club night, you can expect to have an almost full nightclub with bottle shows kicking off. The bottle shows are very entertaining, with screens displaying customised images and texts to accompany the show.
Men will be trendy and stylish, women will be dressed to impress in heels and dresses. The door outside will become very busy two hours after opening, with loads of people trying to get in while the party goes on inside. The music becomes very upbeat an hour into the night and when the party is really popping, you can expect an after party to take place 4:00 am onward for a select few in Little Tape.
How to Get into Tape London
The short answer is, you need to join the Tape London guestlist or book a table to get into Tape London. In other words, you can’t just turn up at Tape London without being on the guestlist or having a table booking is inadvisable since the club is highly exclusive.
Although Tape London is a members club, a restricted number of non-member table bookings and people on the guestlist is accepted. Tape London has a strict door policy as one of the most exclusive nightclubs in London.
In addition, it's critical to make a Tape club table booking (bottle service bookings) and/or join the Tape London guestlist via someone reputable and reliable because nightclubs in London, especially high-end exclusive clubs, will prioritise accommodating bookings from their most reputable affiliates.
We advise mixed groups and all-male groups to make a Tape London booking. Table booking minimum spends vary based on group size, the night, and which table. For example, a Tape VIP table will have a higher minimum spend requirement than main floor tables. We find that every section is a fun time and it just comes down to personal preferences. Opening Days and Time
Tape London is open on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tape Tuesday is a well known night, frequented by a younger crowd, athletes, and artists. Tape Sundays are similar, with a lot of famous rappers and footballers. Tape Fridays and Tape Saturdays are the busiest nights, with a very diverse crowd.
On some nights, when the party is really popping, you can expect an after party in Little Tape for a select few that goes on until 6am.
