Meraki London - A Luxurious Greek Restaurant & Bar, Fitzrovia

Updated: Mar 19

Opened by the brilliant minds behind the exquisite Zuma London and Roka, Meraki London is one breathtaking venue. More importantly, it is a sophisticated celebration of the Greek identity, cuisine, and culture. Interested in getting a reservation, but still unsure? This Meraki London review will help you make a decision.

The Atmosphere

The atmosphere in Meraki London has a way of creating a sense of warmth and connection. Between the exposed bricks and the contemporary art pieces, the main dining room exudes a sense of warm elegance.

Meanwhile, the upstairs bar is a more intimate space, perfect for an afternoon drink with your special someone.

There is also a very well-hidden exclusive underground lounge, known as ‘The Living Room’, where you can enjoy your time among a select crowd. In this intimate and colourful speakeasy, you’ll have a great time vibing to the live Mediterranean-inspired beats of Meraki’s resident DJ.

The Menu

The Meraki London menu is vibrant, colourful, and fresh. The cuisine is primarily Greek, but there are also various Mediterranean influences and you can really see it in the hot mezze.

A table staple we recommend for all diners is a combination of mezze and spreads along with some sourdough or pita bread. Not only is it the perfect introduction to your meal, but it’s also the authentic Mediterranean way.

As for the Meraki signatures, the grilled sea-bream and the lamb chops are definitely the people’s choice. The powerful, multi-dimensional flavours will have you reminiscing over them for days - even weeks - after your meal.

Entertainment

Aside from the resident DJ and the occasional live music performances, the entertainment and special events in Meraki London are unmatched. From art exhibitions to wine dinners, Meraki keeps it interesting. The restaurant also hosts special events, like Greek Sundays where they allow kids and even add a kids’ menu. It’s part of the heart-warming Greek tradition which celebrates Sundays as a day for family.

Reservations

Getting a reservation in the coveted Meraki London can be difficult, especially if you need a booking at short notice and at a specific time slot. That's why it's important to book via their website before you go. Better yet, you’ll have a much better chance at booking the table you want on the day that you want if you book earlier in time. You’ll even have more time slot options to choose from.

The Meraki London dress code is smart casual.

For the gents, this means dress shirts, trousers, and smart shoes.

For the ladies, cocktail dresses or elegant tops and skirts paired with classy heels are the best way to go.
