If you’re new to the London club scene and don’t know where to start, consider this your beginner guide. In this article, we’ll cover all the basics of how to get into the best London clubs and what you need to know before you go. It’s the complete London clubbing guide that covers everything related to the clubs’ entry policy.

How to Get Into London Clubs?

To get into a London club, you need to either join a London guestlist or have a London club table booking. While the guestlist is usually reserved for ladies only, guys and mixed groups can book a table.

Being on a London guestlist usually comes with some perks, like complimentary drinks, promoter table access, and sometimes a reduced entry fee.

London club tables start at £1,000 minimum spend and they come with a private table, access to exclusive menu items, prioritised service, and a bespoke experience.

What Do I Need to Get Into a London Club?

In addition to joining the guestlist or having a table booked in advance, you need three things to get into a London club.

First of all, you need to bring a physical ID with you to the club. All clubs in London are 18+ or 21+. Even if you look old enough, bringing a physical ID is required by any and all clubs.

Second, you need to follow the club’s dress code policy. We’ll make sure you know the dress code when you book with us, but generally speaking, all the best clubs in Mayfair have a smart and elegant dress code policy.

Third, you need to arrive on time which is usually between 11:00 PM and midnight depending on the event, the club, and whether or not you have a table or are on the guestlist.

Can a Guy Join a London Club Guestlist?

Most London club guestlists are reserved for ladies only, but some clubs, like Cuckoo Club and Luxx Club, sometimes allow mixed groups to join the guestlist. It always depends on the event, so just let us know your group size when you’re booking and we’ll help arrange the best and most fun option for you and your group.

Do London Clubs Allow Entry for a Single Guy?

Most London clubs won’t allow single entry for a guy on the guestlist. That said, for single guys, there’s the option of booking a table or in some cases doing a bar tab.

How Late Can I Arrive at a London Club?

The best-recommended arrival time for any London club is 11:30 PM unless there’s a special event, like an artist performance. In the case of special events, you’ll want to arrive at 11:00 PM to avoid the club being overbooked if you’re on the guestlist.

If you have a table booking, the latest time to arrive depends on the club, so it’s always best to let us know when you’re planning on arriving so we can give you the most accurate information. The more you keep us in the loop, the more we’re able to help you out.

Can I Get Into a Club Without Photo ID?

No. Bringing a physical ID is essential to get into any London club. This means a passport, driver’s license, or national ID if you’re from the UK. If you don’t have an ID for any reason, it’s important to let us know in advance. In some cases, we may be able to help, but if you want the smoothest entry process, you have to bring your ID with you.

What is the London Nightclub Dress Code?

The London nightclub dress code is dress to impress, so your outfit needs to look smart and elegant.

Heels or heeled boots are mandatory for girls. Dresses are a perfect pairing, but there’s space to get creative. As long as your outfit is smart and chic and as long as you stay away from hoodies, sportswear, beachwear, or anything too casual, you’ll be good to go.

For guys, dress shirts, leather shoes, and smart pants or clean denim pants (not ripped or torn) are the perfect outfit combo.

Now you know all about clubbing in London and the London club entry policy, so you pretty much know what to expect when going out in Central London. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask. If you’d like to join a London guestlist or book a London club table, let us know.
