Whether you’re going clubbing in London and are about to drop some serious money or you’d rather just leave your wallet at home, it’s always good to know what are the payment options accepted in London clubs. The last thing you want is to find out they don’t do cash, or they only do cash, and for that to end up derailing your entire night. So, without too long of an intro, let’s talk payment options and how they work when it comes to London nightclubs.

Are London Nightclubs Cash-Only or Do They Take Cards?

It always depends on the nightclub, but with the high-end clubs in London — mainly located in Mayfair, you’ll usually find that most clubs have both options. That said, a lot of clubs prefer cash for small purchases, like coat check or entry fee. Even though clubs will have card payment options for tables, it’s not always the case that you’ll be able to pay with a card if you’re on the guestlist. That’s why we always suggest keeping some cash on you. At least to cover the entry fee if you need to.

Do VIP Tables Require Card Payments or Can You Pay Cash?

While it’s easier to pay by card, a number of high-end Mayfair clubs accept cash when it comes to table clients. If you will not be using a card, it’s always good to confirm with us when you’re booking your London club table as it always depends on the nightclub.

Which Payment Methods Do London Clubs Accept?

While, as we’ve mentioned, it always depends on the club, most London clubs accept cash, card, and even Apple Pay. Larger venues, especially in Mayfair and Central London usually accept major cards, including Visa and Mastercard, and even Amex. Apple Pay and other contactless options are also widely accepted at bars and for table payments, but it’s still smart to carry some cash, especially if you’re on the guestlist as some clubs only accept cash payments for the entry fee.

Can You Split Payments Between Friends at London Nightclubs?

Yes, but it’s not recommended. While in most clubs you can do split payments, it depends on the venue and the amount. Generally speaking, clubs prefer that one cardholder settle the payment. The most common practice is for friends to transfer money to each other afterwards or before the night, so the payment process is as smooth as possible. That said, some venues may allow multiple cards for large groups and if you ask in advance. It’s always good sense to let us know early if you’re planning on splitting the bill directly at the club.

You should now have all the information you need about the available payment options in London’s nightclubs. For any more questions or if you’d like to get a London club table booking, just let us know.
